FUNdamentals Clinic

Introducing a new format, weekend clininc, for women just starting OC-1

OC1 FUNdamentals Weekend Clinic

Next clinic dates: Dec 7+8, 2019 and January 18+19, 2020

The fundamentals clinic could be for you if

  • You've paddled OC1 more than once, you are not a complete beginner, but you are relatively new to OC1 paddling.

  • You want to become an OC1 paddler and you are looking for coaching to help you learn the fundamentals.

  • You can swim, and you are not afraid of swimming in the ocean.
  • You have other paddling experience, such as racing OC6 for at least one season, or are part of a dragon boat team that uses OC1 time trials for crew selection.

What makes OC1 Fundamentals clinic different from the other camps?

  • Shorter format - this is a two day clinic over a weekend.

  • Less miles paddled each day - expect 5-10 miles a day, instead of 10-15 (intermediate camp) or 15-20 (advanced camp) miles a day.

  • Easier conditions - focus on flat water, and small surfing conditions. No big downwind runs.

  • Focus on basic skills - we will break down, practice and review fundamental OC1 skills.

  • As with all our camps, there is a maximum of four (4) paddlers so you will receive a lot of personalized attention.
